Rooted in faith, growing together.

For generations, Little Chapel has been a spiritual home in the Santos community of Ocala. Today we continue that legacy as an inclusive, Bible-based family of believers.

Our mission is simple: to make disciples for Jesus Christ, to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to serve all people in our community and the world.

Our Heritage

Over 135 years of faith in Santos.

The Little Chapel story is woven into the history of the Santos community itself — a story of faith, perseverance, and God's faithfulness across generations.

1889

A Chapel Is Born

Land donated by Charlie Little becomes the site of the original Little Chapel, a small church that would anchor the predominantly African American farming community of Santos.

1930s

Heart of a Community

Santos grows to about 100 residents, and the chapel stands at the center of community life — worship, fellowship, and mutual support in the Florida countryside.

The Legacy Continues

The historic chapel stands as a treasured landmark, while the congregation worships at 2381 SE 73rd St — carrying the same gospel, the same warmth, into a new generation.

Sunday School begins at 8:30 AM and Worship at 9:30 AM. Come early for a warm greeting and a good seat.

All ages are welcome in Sunday School and worship. Kids, parents, grandparents — there's a place for everyone here.

What should I wear?

Whatever is comfortable for you. You'll see everything from jeans to Sunday best — we care far more about you being here than what you're wearing.

Where do I park and where do I go?

We're at 2381 SE 73rd Street in Ocala, in the Santos area. Plenty of parking is available on site — follow the signs and greeters will welcome you at the door. Arrive a few minutes before 8:30 AM (Sunday School) or 9:30 AM (Worship).

Is there something for my kids?

Yes! Sunday School begins at 8:30 AM for all ages, and children are warmly welcome in our 9:30 AM worship service. We love having families worship together.

How can I join the Wednesday Bible Study?

Bible study meets online every Wednesday from 7:00–8:00 PM via Zoom. Use the prayer/contact form on this page or call (352) 351-5125 to request the Zoom link — we'll send it right over.

How can I get more involved?

Join our online Membership Community at littlechapelccs.org to connect with ministry groups, share prayer requests on the Prayer Wall, and receive announcements. You can also simply introduce yourself on a Sunday — we'd love to help you find your place.
